04.18.2024, Thursday: As of late I’ve been working on a couple of projects. When Spring Break came around I had a good amount of time to head into the studio and just get work going.
Sadly, this isn’t common for me, so I was delighted to tune out and just create whatever could make me happy inside. Cookie Monster 🍪 is one of those happy projects that I just needed to work on. I did an initial sketch but didn’t set aside any dimensions. Just a general idea on what I had in mind and off I went.
The featured image shows Cookie Monster on the shelf next to my underglazes after the second coat and waiting for when I can head back in and wrap up before they go back into the kiln for the final firing.
Below is that initial sketch I did while getting my things and running to the studio. Like all things, it was just the idea on paper. Soon enough you realize that you have to make the cookies. And you also realize that Cookie Monster has 5 fingers and 5 toes on each side which I had never given thought to. 😅
